A Recap of 2020
We finally made it to the end of 2020, by the time I wrote this post were already in the brighter and colorful 2021, but just want to take a look back to probably all human agreed its the worst years since WW2 (not exaggerating).
Compare to many of you, my 2020 was not a big deal. Things were kinda smooth, but I face some challenges in my life. I called 2020 was a year of finding my pieces together. It was quite a journey, even though I still doing what I love in my free time, or should I said most of my time, it's free time for me now. Due to the pandemic, many industries face many challenges, people losing their jobs, and many people can't find a job as well, and I am one of them.
Lots of my plans are getting cut. All of this was starting with the fourth month of military training, Miss. Corona, finished the training and beginning to find the position of my life. Want to be a designer, article writer, teacher, photographer, and many others. Unfortunately, a lot of this needs more skills and experience. Nothing was going the way I expected, but I still managed to reach some unexpected goals. Let me take a look on that!
Doing More Self-Portraits
Since I have so much free time now, I started to push myself in front of the camera. To be honest, it is tough to take your own photos, especially doing the lifestyles, menswear, and traveling kind of portraits. Being your own photographer needs to continually run back and forth between your camera and the location you want to stand. Since I am an expert on this, I will definitely give you a tutorial shortly (and video)! For now, I can really see my progress on doing the self-portraits. The movements, angles, and storytelling in the photos are so much better than last year. Let me show you now!
Opening My Own Website
As you can see now, here, my very own website. I put my heart and soul combined with all those photos I took these years to create this fantastic place to share all the stories I have!
Reached 1K on Instagram
Even though I still cannot compare to all those bigger Instagramer, all of my followers are super royalty, and engagement is really high! Making lots of friends from this journey, and they are all super talented as well. My Instagram was starting from zero without family and friend's help. To reach this point, I'm super happy with it! If I didn't begin to do Instagram back in 2016, I definitely would not be improving my photography skill that much and traveling a lot as well! I am definitely a bit lazy to reach out to people back then, but in 2021, I will reach out to more people, so hopefully, I can get to 10K by the end of 2021! Let's do this!
Overall, thank you so much. ❤️
Traveling A Lot In Home
Since I am a travel Instagramer but cannot travel abroad during the pandemic, I decided to explore my home country more deeply. I thought I have known my home really well, but it is not. Taiwan is such a beautiful place to explore, from the ocean side to the mountains area. Seeing the beauty of my own home, I can wait for you guys to come after we are allow to travel again.
Have A New Habit
2020 is a self-improvement year for everyone because we got so much time doing things at home. Even though Taiwan didn't experience the lockdown because we are doing pretty well since the beginning. But before I find the jobs, I have so much free time every day. I was already planning some roses on my balcony, but I didn't take it seriously. Also, I am facing some problems with growing them. One day I went on Facebook randomly type "rose" in the search bar, and it shows up with lots of groups of growing roses! Inside they have so much information from different people to share how to grow them, and most importantly, I found my problems with what's happening to my roses at the moment.
As time progressed, I have more than 20 potted roses in my balcony garden, and they all doing really well. Couldn't imagined I can have a rose garden, and they all blooming like crazy before because I was a person to kill all the plants I have. Hopefully, one day I can have a big house to grow a beautiful rose garden!
Conclusion
Overall, it was not a too lousy year for me, even though there were many things in between, but looking back to 2020, it was quite a self-improvement year for sure, and lots of unexpected happened. I’m looking forward to what will happen in 2021, using the experiences we faced and learned from 2020, I believe it will be a big year for me and you. Stay positive guys, because it will be better and brighter this year! Thank you all for coming and reading. Love you all, cheers for 2021🥂
