Still, I selected out some of what I thought are growing fast, rarely get diseases, strong fragrances, and flowering like crazy for the beginners to boost the confidence of taking care of the roses. Those roses are also suitable for both planting in the grounds and pots. Hopefully, this article can make you finally choose your first roses for your garden. Let's start!

Masora

My first pick is definitely Masora. Literally, every beginner will choose it as their first rose! The consistency of blooming and the strong grapefruit fragrance are attractive to everyone. It’s good at flowering, and its tick oily shiny leaves make it a strong rose when facing the disease. It can be grown as a shrub rose or training it to the pillar as a smell climbing rose.

It needs a full day’s sunlight, at least 6 hours to be able to grow well. I found out it grows well in a warmer season. During the cooler season, it grows slowly, and somehow the flowers won’t open successfully.

Autumn Rouge Autumn Rouge not only strong for its fragrances but also for its heath. In most weather conditions, it never gets any disease, which is suitable for beginners. It is continuously flowering for you to enjoy. The creamy red color petals a…

Autumn Rouge

Autumn Rouge not only strong for its fragrances but also for its heath. In most weather conditions, it never gets any disease, which is suitable for beginners. It is continuously flowering for you to enjoy. The creamy red color petals are the spotlight of your garden. I only have it for one month, and it has already given me three strong shoots for the future flowering. If you are searching for the rose growing fast, Autumn Rouge is for you.

If you want to have it on your balcony, make sure to have a bigger space for it. As I said, it grows fast, and its tent to like to extend to the side. It might not be growing too high up but definitely wild enough for your balcony to be occupied but it.

Heritage

Even though I don't have Heritage but have the bud mutations one, the White Heritage is basically the same but the color difference. I really love how strong it is. It can be planted as a big shrub/ climber but also as a medium shrub rose. I can say the fragrance is my most favorite of all the roses I have. It has a light fruity scent with a bit of litchi. I can smell it from a long distance which makes your garden small fantastic and it also attracts bees. The dark green and thick leaves make the flower pops and rarely get diseases. It's definitely the best rose you can have in a garden.

The downside of Heritage is the flower didn't last for long, around 3-4 days depends on the weather and temperatures. However, even the flower doesn't last for long, it actually won't lose too many nutrients for blooming, and it saves up a lot of energy for growing. It is such a fast-growing rose. That is why it is a big shrub/ climber. To make it stay in a decent size, you have to trim it more often.

Abraham Darby

If you want a climber / big shrub roses in your garden, Abraham Darby is your best choice. It has already been with me since my first day of planting roses. When it came, it was just a little baby with only two stems. After 2 months, it grew about one meter with 5 strong branches, such an outstanding performance! It has a strong fruity fragrance, and the shiny, oily leaves make it strong for facing diseases.

If your garden doesn’t get too much direct sunlight a day, it can still be growing well in the area that only gets 4-6 hours of direct sunlight a day. I really recommend it to you. I can firmly say Abraham Darby is the best rose you can have.

Carey

One of David Austin’s wedding cut roses. Even though it is a cut rose but surprisingly performing really well as a garden rose. I love how fast it grows, and even during the hot season, the form of the petals is still in good shape. The fruity/ lemon fragrance really got my heart. You would be surprised how big the flower is when you see its bud. As a cut flower, the flower least for a long time to make you enjoy its beauty.

Terrazza Juicy

For those who are planning to have a rose on your balcony, this one is for you. Terrazza Juicy is a floribunda means the consistency flowering. The thick leaves make it hardly get any disease. It growing really fast but still can stay in a small size which is really great for a limited space. The flowers stay on a very long time. First, it gets a saturated yellow color, but the orange and pink staring to shows up from the time progress. It will be a stunning view when it gets lots of flowers blooming at once. The downside of it is it doesn’t have a fragrance.

Clotilde Soupert

One of my favorite from my garden. If you are searching for a rose that constantly blooms in a short period, this one is for you. This rose is part of the old rose family, which was breaded about a few centuries ago. By that means that we can still be seeing it in people's garden and has not disappeared from all the new varieties nowadays has proven it's a good performance rose for all reasons.

Even though it is a carefree rose, but it tent to get powdery mildew easily. Remember to spray once a month can keep the leaves clean and healthy. The other things for it are, make sure to not wet the petals, because its petals are easily getting damaged by the water. We also joking about its petals are as soft as tissue paper, lol. Overall, it's a good performance rose and very healthy for beginners to boost the confidence.

Here are all my recommendations. I hope you can a least have one of them if you are finally planning to add your very first rose to your garden. All of them are doing well in any zone you are living in. At least all the reports from people who live in the different areas have all said they perform very well. Let's it, thank you all for reading this, and see you at the next rose talk.
