The Beginning | Road Trip California
Never been on the road for traveling in my entire life, the first time always unique and memorable, but this story is not only about traveling, but also about connection.
Never have I ever traveling with friends; this is the first "First." Never visit the same location for the second time, traveling by a rental car, and planning the entire trip on our own, especially booking the hotel/Airbnb across the world. It was crazy to think the idea of this trip came from a joke and we all want to take some different pictures than taking in our country because we all getting bored with our home.
-Meet the crew of the road trip, Daniel and Sondre-
We met few years ago(Summer of 2016); when we all studying abroad in Los Angeles, we were nine people groups, and we hang out almost every day. Living in a country that you never visited before for an extended period by yourself, we were lucky to have each other as family. Every day after the class and weekend, we planned our day trip to a different beach, mall, or even the theme park, we always exploring together. Though we can call ourselves the L.A's expert, we didn't have time to go out of the L.A area to visit due to the weekday class, so this reason makes this 2018 road trip have the first idea.

If you are into travel, you probably will notice many travel bloggers visiting Big Sur, Santa Barbara, Malibu, and Yosemite. You can see except Yosemite, all of the places I mention are all located along by the PCH ( Pacific Coast Highway/ California 1) and 101 Hwy. What makes it unique is that PCH and 101 Hwy are starting from San Diego to Vancouver so that you can have a massive road trip across the west coast of North America. This times, we choose to start from Los Angeles, San Diego, Malibu, Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Yosemite (Well, it has been closed by the wildfire, so we didn't go), San Francisco then back to L.A. We planned this road trip in July 2017. It came from a joke about if we can be California just from taking the picture, our Instagram game will going to be so strong, and also we can finally reunite again after two years from that trip in 2016. Somehow, this joke became a thing, and everyone was so interested in the road trip idea. We start to find where to go and live; then, after some FaceTime chat, the flight, hotel, and Airbnb were all booked, and that means, we can't go back anytime, the trip was all set!
We have never been on any road trip like this; it is terrifying to go, especially by car, and drive for a thousand miles to the place we never been to, but this is what we call for the adventure. Even though some of our friends couldn't make it this time, but still can't wait to spend the time with my friends who we haven't seen each other for two years. I cannot wait to go back to L.A, where we called for our second home, a place we have lots of memories, and a place gives me my Cali fam.
